FAQ

Answers to Your Common Questions

Products & Formulations

Are your products cruelty free?

We are opposed to all forms of animal testing and we can ensure you no animal testing is carried out on our products.

We only work with suppliers that share our values and have policies in place.

Are your products organic?

Our products can be marketed as ‘organic’ as they contain a range of organic ingredients. We are very careful about where we source our ingredients as we want to ensure they are natural and of the best quality. It is not always possible to source organic for all of our ingredients range but all of our products contain organic and natural ingredients.

Our products are not ‘certified organic’ as this certification involve higher costs which we would have to reflect in our prices. Instead, we focus on creating high quality natural products that deliver outstanding results.

It is important to note that a product does not have to be certified in order to be labelled as organic.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Shelf life of all our products is 30 months from date of manufacturing.

Period after opening varies between packaging

Closed containers PAO = 12M-24M

Open containers (jars) PAO=  6M-12M

What preservatives do you use?

We use a combination of Ethylhexylglycerin and Phenoxyethanol which is a globally approved paraben-free preservative that is very effective against bacterial, yeast and fungal growth. We never add more than 1% in our products and despite trying a wide range of other preservatives in the past, we’ve always found this to be the best one in the market that doesn’t contain potentially dangerous and harsh chemicals.

Are your products suitable for vegans?

Most of our products are suitable for vegans; however the products which contain beeswax & honey are not suitable . Our lip balm, beard balm and beard wax contain beeswax.

Can I remove certain ingredients from your products?

It is not always easy to change a formulation or remove ingredients. We cannot change our core formulations but if you have a request regarding a carrier oil or natural extract then please get in touch.

Can I add any ingredients to your products?

We have a comprehensive list of ingredients where you can select which ones you would like added to a product. If you select something that we don’t think will work well, we will let you know. Also, if you would like help in deciding which ingredients to add, please get in touch and we will be very happy to help.

Many of our customers don’t add anything to our standard product range but if you would like to create a bespoke range, we recommend adding no more than 2 or 3 additional ingredients to each product.
Some of our products are more difficult to change (water based products such as toners & mists) therefore this may involve development costs and our chemists time. Minimum order to change these would be 500 units.

Can you create a bespoke product?

We primarily focusing on making our base products bespoke to your brand by adding different extracts/oil and a fragrance.

However should you want a bespoke formulation this is something that we can do for 500 units. We would ask you to fill out a product development brief and send this over to the sales team. Should you be interested please contact us to find out more

Do I have to get the products tested & approved before I can sell them?

No, our products have already been approved to meet the EU legislative requirements.

In order to sell any product under your own company brand, you must register the product on the EU portal as the responsible person. Regulation (EC) N° 1223/2009 (Article 13). All information required in order to upload products can be found on the PIF summaries on each product page.

Are your fragrances natural?

We have a wide variety of fragrance oils to choose from (see our ingredients list) which are not natural but if you would like one added, we will use just a tiny amount that is well within the IFRA guidelines. Fragrance oils tend to last longer than natural scents and there is a wider variety to choose from.

If you would prefer to keep it natural, you can choose an essential oil instead or we have a large range of blends available. The products within our retail ready range are lightly fragranced with essential oils that are 100% natural.
